Use of caravans
The lessee only has the right to use the vehicle if he is at least 20 years old, has a motor vehicle driving license (category B) and driving status for at least two years. The maximum weight of the car train (vehicle and caravan) shall not exceed 3500 kg in the event of a category B driving right. The same conditions also extend to secondary drivers.
The tenant is obliged to use the caravan purposefully and prudently, and also thinking of future tenants. In the vehicle smoking is prohibited and transporting animals only in separate written agreement with the Renter. Fine for violation is 250 €. It is prohibited to use caravan for paid services.The tenant is required to present to third parties the terms of the contract. The assignment of the right of conduct to a third party shall not exempt Rentee from liability for the performance of the terms of this Agreement, with Rentee responsible for the activities of a third party.
Booking and deposit
To confirm the booking, payment of the booking fee has to be made. The booking fee is 90 € . It is possible to change the booking for a minimum of 20 days before the start of the rental period and full payment for new period has to be made. The booking fee will not be refunded when canceled. The total deposit is 600 €, which is paid before the trailer is handed over. The minimum rental period for the caravan during the season is 3 days. The deposit shall be refunded within 5 working days of the return of the caravan if hidden errors are not detected in the caravan, the caravan is clean and without damage and does not receive claims from third parties. Claims from third parties are also reimbursed by Rentee in full even after Rental period.
Required documents
It is necessary to submit a valid driving license, passport or ID card for the Republic of Estonia to conclude a lease agreement. If there are more drivers, they also need to submit a valid driving license when concluding the rest of the contract.
Transfer and return of the caravan
The caravan is given washed, cleaned and technically in order. Filled with a water tank, and an empty toilet cassette. Upon transfer of the caravan, a lease agreement shall be concluded, which shall also indicate all existing injuries and deficiencies in the caravan. The lessee shall not be liable for any deficiencies, injuries and delays in orcancellation of rent caused by the previous Rentee. The rental period starts on the rental day at 09.00 and ends on the last day of the lease at 19.00, unless otherwise agreed. The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and place. If the caravan is not returned at the agreed time and place, the lessor may notify the police of the caravan’s disappearance and declare the caravan wanted. If the rental period is exceeded without the consent of the lessor, the Lessee has the right to demand double the rental fee for the exceeded time and compensation for the losses of the next Lessee. The caravan must be returned by the Renter with the interior carefully cleaned and the toilet cartridge emptied.
The lessor has the right to withhold a cleaning fee from the security deposit if the caravan is not cleaned sufficiently. The price for interior cleaning is €80, emptying the toilet cartridge is €50. The Tenant does not have to perform exterior cleaning. Upon return of the caravan, the Renter and the Lessor will inspect the caravan. The Lessee shall compensate for defects that occurred during the rental period based on the repair price list.
Insurance and renter’s liability
The caravan rental price includes comprehensive insurance in case of traffic accidents and vandalism with a deductible of €600. In case of theft, the renter’s deductible is 15% of the cost of the caravan (the value of the caravan is stated in the rental agreement). In the event of a traffic accident or vandalism, the Renter is obliged to immediately report it to the police at the scene and obtain written proof with an explanation of the circumstances. The Lessee is also obliged to immediately notify the Lessor thereof.
In the event of theft or loss, the Renter is required to provide the keys to the caravan and the registration certificate. In the event of theft, robbery or robbery, the Renter is obliged to immediately report the incident to the local police and also inform the Lessor. When leaving the caravan, the Renter is obliged to lock all doors, close windows and hatches, and remove valuables from visible places in the caravan. Also, the registration certificate, rental agreement, and caravan keys must not be left in the caravan. If the Renter has damaged or destroyed a caravan that is not covered by the insurance contract or does not provide the documents required by the insurance, the Renter will compensate for the damage in full.
Caravan use area
The renter is prohibited from driving the caravan outside the Republic of Estonia unless previously agreed upon. The driving route is agreed in advance in the rental contract. The caravan can be used in the European Union. The renter is prohibited from traveling to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Turkey. The caravan is equipped with a GPS tracking device.
Contract validity
The signed rental agreement and rental terms are binding even if the Renter has not read or understood it. We always recommend that you read the rental terms and conditions and the rental agreement and clarify the terms if necessary. Disputes arising from the Agreement shall be resolved through negotiations between the Lessee and the Lessor. If the Lessee and the Lessor cannot reach an agreement, disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Estonia.
